#NukeStudio should rename „sequences“ to „timelines“. Sequences in #VFX are either image file sequences or a collection of shots that have been arranged in sequence. The confusion for editors and artists alike is real.

There’s even a „sequences default framerate“ option in Nuke Studio‘s settings. It does NOT set the default for sequences (timelines) but for sequences (a bunch of enumerated image files).

#Qt signals in a #NukeStudio tool I wrote don't reach my background thread anymore. Worked fine in Nuke 13 (Qt 5.12, Python 3.7) and no longer works in #Nuke 14 (Qt 5.15, Python 3.9) unless I connect the slot as a DirectConnection (i.e. just call a function across threads).
Search engines are useless for those keywords. How is one supposed to debug this? Read every changelog between those versions?

Is it really the case that Apple‘s #FinalCut isn‘t able to load an EDL and not even the xml files that some apps can export for Final Cut 7? So in fact there is no way to transfer something I‘ve edited in #NukeStudio?

I downloaded #Davinci. It loads everything and it’s free. Editing with it also feels great.
