So I had this idea today (2-3 hours ago, probably) of making a #TTRPG game using #NoxEngine that is about escaping a steampunk city that's been overrun by monsters.

It will include survival, steam power, combat, dark powers, inventory mechanics, crafting systems, and more.

32.6 thousand words so far

Still need to do the social mechanics (Speech!), the antagonist section, GM advice, and finish the Talents, not necessarily in this order

Got some time to work on the Nox Engine TTRPG today; still implementing the Prosperity system to replace the Wealth system 💰

Revision of the crafting mechanics is complete, and updating the cost levels of equipment 👍

Personally, I think it is smarter to make the base mechanics first before making the options that mess with said mechanics đŸ€·â€â™‚ïžđŸ˜…

Finished writing about and over 20 minor spells for the #NoxEngine, which I think should be enough to get a game going.

Also planning to make some moderate spells and major spells, but next I'm going to focus on revisiting the commerce system to buy equipment; I would like it to be less about financial management and maybe somewhat more abstract đŸ€·â€â™‚ïž

I enjoy making up spells that play with the #NoxEngine systems

In NE, you have a pool of Action Points and some spells mess around with that, either giving you bonus actions or forcing you to use your actions

Fights! take place in zones or fields within the battlefield, and some spells interact with that, like a firebomb that affects everyone in the same zone

There were 7 saints who faced off against the rogue God, but when a powerful necromancer, known in current records only as The Vile, appeared in the city of Fimbul and proclamed that they'd resurrect the slain God, many claimed them to be the 8th Saint of old, somehow alive after centuries since the deicide.

Whether true or not, The Vile posed the first real threat since the rogue God, and nothing breathes in Fimbul anymore.

The other gods retreated into the realms of stars, darkness, and whatever else, and now, millennia later, the heroes have become venerated as saints of modern religion.

History is written in power, and the Bloodlands remain as a scar and reminder of the true horror of the fabled deicide.

The caster can use part of their action to unleash the paradox dice and roll them for a Paradox Effect.

Why use action? Because it means the player must choose between accumulating more paradox or be less effective in the round to suffer a lesser effect.

I kinda like this system because it means a game could see some extended spell slinging action đŸ˜đŸ‘đŸ§™â€â™€ïž
