A Pennsylvania bakery known for its election cookie poll is swamped with orders

A suburban Philadelphia bakery’s cookie “poll” that started during the 2008 presidential campaign as a joke between the owners and their customers has grown into much more. Lochel’s Bakery in Hatboro is swamped with orders. People are driving from a couple of hours away to buy the cookies at Lochel’s. Shipment orders are coming in from as far away as Alaska. The cookie poll accurately predicted the winner the first three times, but not in 2020. Republican Donald Trump won the cookie poll, but lost the election for the White House to Democrat Joe Biden.

@unfa This page strikes me as very religiously motivated. It looks like the "Evolution is a hoax"– version of sex positivism. Mixing up porn with porn addiction alone raises all red flags here. "HEY WE ARE _NOT_ RELIGIOUS!!!!!!!!!!" - also we use Science – *drummroll* – AND facts!?   …oh, and also them "personal accounts." – because scince AND!?! facts are not enough, obviously… 🤨

People I passed on a 10 minute walk just now: 101 with masks and 51 without. Ratio kept roughly 2:1 the whole count. 6 people with masks had them at least partially down. Never thought about how exposed I am just on a short walk in #Tokyo. #notscientific
