Streeting is ambitious but unelectable. Rayner is eager, but has baggage. Burnham is popular, but way overrated (good mayor, but twice-failed Blairite leadership candidate), and lacks a path to Westminster: can Labour win any parliamentary by-election now? #NoSafeSeats

Starmer may stagger on for a year or two, while Greens eat Labour.
