Softly the owl calls in the night,
The voice carries on the air.
No moon tonight, a haunting sight,
Of nature, that's so fair.

The stars they twinkle and glisten high,
And in their light, a hope I spy,
The eerie cry, from across the sky,
Makes my soul, flutter and fly.

My feet are rooted to the ground,
