So I’ve been avoiding it for almost 35 years but I finally read The Eye of the World, book one in the Wheel of Time series and, annoyingly, it’s excellent.
Too many pages, I thought for the last three decades, but I loved them. If anything the ending was a bit rushed.
Only 13 more books to go.
Watching the Olympics on Peacock streaming is interesting. You can watch the entire match, and can often see why American broadcasts don’t do that.
Then they have the “Gold Zone” that jumps between sports as they happen, focusing on whatever is most exciting at the moment. If nothing is immediately exciting they’ll have two or four sports up at the same time. It’s compelling. Feels new.
Time trial helmets in the Tour de France are giving Storm Trooper. Congrats to trooper Mark Cavendish on his record. Amazing to watch.
I’ve been watching a lot of the Tour de France and I’ve decided to change my last name to Suter Lease-A-Bike.
I guess I should tell my family.
