Il Tempo: Quotti Tubi (Fiera Milano): "Mobilità e logistica devono affrontare sfide comuni"

Milano, 13 mag.

Quotti Tubi (Milan Fair): "Mobility and logistics must address common challenges"

Milan, May 13 (Adnkronos) - "The decision to unite Transpotec Logitec and Nme-Next mobility exhibition stems from the need to build a common vision for the transport sector, linking logistics of goods and mobility of people. Currently, both the movement of goods and the mobility of people are going through an extremely complex phase, conditioned by geopolitical tensions that have triggered rising energy and oil costs. These are transversal criticalities that are severely affecting the entire supply chain.” Thus, Sara Quotti Tubi, head of energy & transportation exhibitions at Fiera Milano, during the opening of the nineteenth edition of Transpotec Logitec and the third edition of Nme.

According to Quotti Tubi, the integration between the two events reflects a profound transformation that involves both sectors, today united by structural challenges and shared contextual factors. Among the main criticalities, “there is a common problem: the lack of drivers. There are approximately 500,000 truck drivers missing in Europe and 110,000 between buses and trams, while in Italy there are approximately 25,000 missing in the logistics sector and about 12,000 in collective mobility,” Quotti Tubi emphasizes, also recalling the challenges related to the energy transition and digitalization, inviting to overcome an increasingly generic narrative.

“We often talk about the energy transition and digitalization, but today there are concrete tools for both decarbonization and digital innovation, which must become a competitive lever for businesses,” she states. Finally, she emphasizes the strategic value of the integration between the two events, which together bring together “over 500 exhibitors and a rich program of over 50 conferences” because “events cannot be just exhibition showcases, but must become places for networking, knowledge and sharing - she says. “Only by bringing institutions, associations and stakeholders to the same table can a common vision be built capable of responding to the challenges of the sector,” she concludes.
