What a powerful singing voice Nicole Atkins has!
On this album her voice is only occasionally ‘let loose’, which is a shame, but there are some good tracks here nonetheless.

A mixture of styles, but all these songs feel like they would be right at home sung from a moodily-lit stage in a casino in New Jersey!

My copy is signed, which is nice!

Today’s listening is ‘Mondo Amore’, the 2011 album by Nicole Atkins.

This is possibly my favourite album by Nicole Atkins.

The musical style on this album is pretty ‘electric rock’ and suits her incredibly powerful voice very well.

It has to be good stuff to keep up with a voice like hers!

Well worth a listen.

Today’s listening is ‘Slow Phaser’, the 2014 album by Nicole Atkins.

For me, Nicole Atkins has one of THE great female singing voices of the present day, being right up there with k d lang.

This album was recorded in Malmö, Sweden and has an interesting mix of musical styles.

Well worth a listen!
