I have a crisis. I’m really lost as to how it can be solved.
The thing is — I’ve run out of room for new books in my bookshelves. And, to make matters worse, I’ve run out of wall space for new bookshelves.
I can stack books in the narrow space above the books standing on my shelves, I suppose. Like a barbarian. But even the respite offered by that (unsatisfactory) solution is nearing the end.
I might have to remove some of the art we have on the walls (😱). Or move to a bigger house.
How to deal with feelings of not being “good enough”
Our obsession with self-improvement is making us miserable.
We compare ourselves to the idealized version of millions of strangers online.
Where we falter is believing that more money, more things, better things, better selves will ultimately make us happy.

Very pleased with this little Gunn sectioned bookcase we picked up today. From the turn of the 20th century, I think, so a bit older than our house! A fairly random assortment of books for now. Working out what will eventually live there is a much longer process and might involve a 26 week public consultation exercise…

I’ve been on a bit of a book buying session. I like books, especially ones related to hobbies. Some are useful modelling references, others are purely because I enjoy learning more about the period leading up to the start of the Second World War.
