First overnight ‘camp’ in the house so that I could be here for the ground workers and PV panel installers on Monday morning. First time to experience the unfamiliar sounds of a new house and the effects of the late evening, summer light. Woken early by an unruly gang of sparrows and delighted to witness the setting sun casting rays into the north facing bedrooms. Loving it!!! #netzeroenergy #newhome #portmahomack

Built ourselves a net-zero energy home using Scottish grown timber only and no concrete. It’s in 2 parts to create a private courtyard garden in between. The living areas are in one, the bedrooms in the other. To go to bed at night you walk through the garden. #newhome #netzeroenergy #ultralowcarbon

1) Is your energy consumption measured as site energy or as source energy?
