My home energy model is updated now up to mid May 2026. Full description of my model (which is free to use) is included in link below. From the solar graph it is easy to see the effect of a very cool and rainy spring here in Southern Ontario. The solar increase due to lengthened day and increased seasonal intensity is barely able to keep up with my home’s continued heating load.

Can anyone recommend a portable power station (which I would charge with solar panels) that is capable of running various 120V power tools? I have a Pecron LFP2000 which can run *some* tools, but can't handle the startup surge of my mitre saw, 8gal air compressor, or electric log splitter. If anybody has actually run tools like these on a power station I'd love to hear about it.

I'm considering the Anker C2000 v2 as they claim a 4000W surge capacity on it, but prefer not to spend $1000 to find out.
