The Cove at Stanton Drew formed by 3 stones can be found in the beer garden of the Druid's Arms. Folklore states that the stones represent a Parson, bride & groom frozen on their wedding day. They were turned to stone by the Devil as their guests danced on a Sunday. The Cove is one of several megalithic stone monuments at Stanton Drew. #StandingStoneSunday #NeolithicNovember #PubArchaeology #Archaeology #Archaeodon #StandingStone #StandingStones

Queen Maeve's Cairn, Sligo. One of the largest, unexcavated Neolitihc tombs in Europe. I visited it on a wet November day in 2018, and had the entire site to myself. A very memorable experience!
