Iarnród Éireann has published the emerging preferred route for the proposed #Navan #Railway, a 34km electrified extension of the DART network from M3 Parkway to Navan North in #Ireland. The line would include new stations at Dunshaughlin, Kilmessan, Navan Central and Navan North, with trains running every 15 minutes at peak times between Navan and #Dublin Connolly. Journey times are expected to be around 60 minutes, with capacity for up to 4,400 passengers per hour in each direction. Three park-and-ride sites are also planned. The project aims to improve public transport links, support growth in County Meath and reduce reliance on cars. The route largely follows the former railway corridor, which closed in 1963, with changes to better serve Dunshaughlin. A public consultation on the plans is open until 3 July 2026.

We use #navan for travel at work. It doesn't send the #tsapre info to the airline, which really sucks.
