I imagine it's seen winters like this before, weathered countless storms, and knows, with an ancient certainty, that spring will return. That life persists, even amidst the starkest beauty. It's a lesson the wild whispers if you take the time to listen – a lesson in patience, resilience, and the enduring power of nature. Today, I was listening. And I was grateful for the quiet wisdom this heron shared, framed against a world holding its breath.
