Environmentalists celebrate ending stored hydropower behind dams, now operating generators continuously as run of the river, so impounded water levels do not go up and down. This end of stored hydropower removes the ability to fill in power lapses from intermittent solar power and wind power generators. This burns more fossil fuel in natural gas fired turbine generators, which can fill in. Clean nuclear power can replace all these, but we need to get the price down. https://lnkd.in/eu8zdSmv
