#Putin really destroyed the "#NattōInsteadOfNATO!" #BadMeme very harshly and basically showcased the necessity for #EU & #NATO to act as military #deterrence to the point of #Sweden and #Finland joining NATO post-#Invasion of the remainder of #Ukraine.

And with the guarantors of the #BudapestMemorandom (#USA & #UK) refusing to follow-through on their commitments since 2012 by NOT putting #BootsOnTheGround it is clear that this won't be done and dusted with just restoring the #StatusQuoAnteBellum (1994-2011)…

That beibg said I want #Europe united by #values like #HumanRights and not by mere externalities to it's existance!

One does not appease such #facists, but force them into #ConditionlessSurrender.

In fact, if it was my decision, I would put some #Pershing-II right into the Baltics and Finland and force #Russia into the #StatusQuoAnteBellum [1994-2012] because the lack of commitment by the #USA & #UK re: #BudapestMemorandum [i.e. lack of #BootsOnTheGround as per obligation] is already an act of #cowardice.

Were it not for #EU & #NATO membership as well as #troops stationed, Russia would've already wiped #Estonia and #Finland off the map!

As much as I wished my #NattoInsteadOfNATO joke to not have poorly aged, I sincerely have to accept the truth that Putin makes it a "necessary evil" at worst...

@jeff @computercrime I used to make the (now poorly aged) #joke saying #NattōInsteadOfNATO but sadly #Putin made it abundantly clear that calling #NATO a "#NecessaryEvil" is evidently unjustified.

I mean were #Switzerland not on friendly-to-neutral terms with NATO and all it's neighbours and surrounded by basically NATO members (minus Liechtenstein and Austria, tho I'm convinced Vienna is changing that sooner or later), it would do as #Ireland is workibg towards and intent to join NATO just to not have their #airspace constantly violated by #Tu95 #bombers!

IDK what reality you live in but in mine we can cleary see that #Putin is the aggressor who thinks he can wipe entire nations off the map without consequences.

Or do you really believe he'd stop at #Ukraine?

He has publicly admitted to wanting to attack the #baltics next and the only reason he hasn't invaded them nor #Finland is because they are #NATO members!

Or to put it simply:

It's kinda hard to argue against NATO when #Russia is the #aggressor and not missing any opportunity to make it evident that one should join NATO unless one wishes to be attacked and annexted by Russia...

My #NattoInsteadOfNATO joke got retired due to #Putinism!
