It's fish time. Again.
Sebastes paucispinis aka Bocaccio

I really struggled with this one. There's a lot wrong. But... I can't dwell. So it's onward and upward.

For that full torture, you have to join my patreon, but to just look at it, you don't have to go anywhere~

Bell Mountain, Pre-Columbian

Local landmark I like to imagine in an autumn 1000 years ago.
It's not an actual mountain, it's a big, steep hill that's mostly alone.

Though there are other lonely hills like this in the few miles surrounding it. but this is the biggest one.

Comparing multiple ant species' nest-building styles shows it's foraging environments & how the ants transport food that dictate nest architecture. The biologists suggest a lesson for humans is that our cities' transportation networks could be more efficient if freeways were designed using ant-principles, eg: if there were dedicated lanes or roads for trucks traveling to and from major logistics hubs like ports, warehouses & distribution centers.

Could insights from ants help people build better transportation networks?

Could ants' nests hold the secret to reducing traffic congestion on the 405 Freeway?

An ecorche drawing of a kiger mustang skeleton.
This has been sitting around for ages with just the ribs needing to be drawn.

I'll be happy to actually be able to start on muscles at some point.
