Like many a shoestring, found-footage horror flick, Name the Demon (2024) exists somewhere between genuine boredom and contrived coincidence. I’ll buy that due to an increase in both the demand for the ritual and scrutiny over the Catholic Church, the Vatican requires that all exorcisms be recorded. What’s the excuse, though, for filming absolutely everything else?
