Jean le Ferrec’s strange late sixties bit of very psychedelic French pop which oddly reminds me of the strange percussive squeaks in Nurse With Wound’s Creakiness… was he on the list? #NWWlist
#NowPlaying Continuing the #PaulBuckmaster theme, here’s the 1971 album “Chitinous” by #TheChitinousEnsemble, which if there’s ever an addendum to the #NWWList, it should be included. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLiWeOexqZ1XnwsNuSJUXgsJ8k_N3p53bQ

#NowPlaying “First Utterance” (1971) by #Comus, a British folk/prog rock band, was in the #NWWList, and later in 1997 #Current93 did a super dark cover version of ‘Diana’, which seemed to supercharge interest in the band all over again. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_mUNzulfrFcvCxz5EPN9wCrILZTXP39wbc

#BandcampFriday #NWWList fans will rejoice over this re-release. #PlasticPeopleOfTheUniverse were banned and jailed under Czech communism. Authorities claimed their music would have a "negative social impact". Influenced by idiosyncratic rhythms and absurdist wordplay of certain bands from the 1960s, their music is a cross between rock and improvised jazz with an Eastern European twist. https://moved-by-sound.bandcamp.com/album/egon-bondys-happy-hearts-club-band

#NowPlaying #NWWList I was today years old when I found out Philip Sanderson’s Snatch Tapes label is alive and well on Bandcamp. I won’t hold my breath, but here’s hoping the 1980s-era David Jackman cassettes see the light of day again! https://snatchtapes.bandcamp.com/album/reprint-1980-2003
