you try and do your best, but to hear you've had this sort of influcence on someone is both awesome and humbling
Yep, there is weather out there. Three call-outs tonight. 2x MVA, 1x tree down.
MVA1 - four cars. 2 of 3 freeway lanes closed. One person injured but not badly. CL’s comment after we were released? “Thankfully that’s one less Holden left on the road.”
Got back to station, then paged again.
MVA2 - One car. Same location as MVA1 except opposite direction. No injuries. Car was already on tow truck when we arrived. Spent about 15 mins sweeping debris off the road in the pouring rain. Got back to station. Packed away. Headed home and got two doors down from the station and got paged again. Quick three point turn. Back into gear and truck.
Tree down - got to the location and nothing found. Patrolled further down the road. Nothing found.

we've been advised by our #nswrfs district office that all non-operational travel is no longer permitted due to the fuel issue
that includes brigade training sessions, which needs to take place at the station
Big #nswrfs training day tomorrow. Hope the rain stays away. The deputy running things tomorrow has asked me if I want to run some scenarios as a Crew Leader. 😬

another day on the fireground, back at the beni one and running the show
lots of massive big trees down on the talbragar river that had to be knocked down. absolute units. it was sad to see. there is a sydney strike team visiting and they put in a huge effort with the local teams. looks like that's now at patrol which is amazing!
when we were leaving the shed this morning we did see a little juvenile kookaburra that may have been blown out of its nest. it could fly, just not really well. it was gone when we got back so hopefully it got home
