I'm trying to move all my subs off of #gmail, and I got an email from NPR Listens, asking me to update my password because they're moving to a new portal. The email is legit from [email protected], though the new portal is a third-party site. Here's the link: https://npr.opinioninsight.com/portal/community_1_1_1.php/page/7
The new portal requires me to accept some #cookies (I keep #Edge around exactly for this crap). I rejected the non-necessary cookies, and entered my email address. It then asked me to prove my humanity with a #visual #CAPTCHA. There are dots, with additional options. When I activated that, a menu pops up, with the first item being #accessibility. When I pick that, I get the screenshot below, telling me I can get an accessibility #cookie, with embedded links, which probably walk me through the process to get this #special cookie.
Basically, my options are to accept a #cookie that announces to every cookie-reading #website that I am #disabled, or solve a visual challenge.
I'm going to email the "if you have questions..." address from the email, but really?
I have seem other sites using this same captcha, and I refuse to conduct business with them. With the current regime targeting #Diversity, #Equity, #Inclusion, and accessibility, I am not accepting a cookie that identifies me as a "special" user.
