Meanwhile over on Twitter there's a grown man, a social scientist who writes for a national newspaper no less... technically one of Ireland's 'public intellectuals'... currently pretending not to understand what a weather forecast is, in an attempt to whip up the anger of right wing conspiracy headbangers in pursuit of clicks and likes.

It's mainly embarrassing to see. But it's also disheartening and damaging.
