A Warner Bros. Pictures e a New Line Cinema anunciaram que Anya Taylor-Joy (na imagem destacada), estrela de filmes como Furiosa: Uma Saga Mad Max e o vindouro Duna: Parte 3, entrou para o elenco de O Senhor dos Anéis: A Caçada por Gollum, filme que se passará em paralelo aos primeiros eventos de O Senhor dos Anéis: A Sociedade do Anel. Ela viverá uma personagem original: Seren, elfa do Reino da Floresta que é uma das agentes mais habilidosas e leais do Rei Thranduil, o pai de Legolas.

Andy Serkis, Ian McKellen, Elijah Wood e Lee Pace reprisarão seus papéis como Gollum/Smeágol, Gandalf, Frodo Bolseiro e Thranduil, respectivamente. O elenco também inclui Kate Winslet como Marigol, Jamie Dornan assumindo o lugar de Viggo Mortensen como Passolargo/Aragorn e Leo Woodall como Halvard. A trama do longa iniciará um pouco antes de Frodo deixar o Condado, com Gandalf enviando Aragorn em uma missão em busca de Gollum, que possui informações sobre o Um Anel cobiçadas por Sauron. Com direção de Andy Serkis e roteiro de Philippa Boyens, Fran Walsh, Phoebe Gittins e Arty Papageorgiou, e com Peter Jackson no time de produtores, o longa tem estreia prevista para 17 de dezembro de 2027.

Why do some functions return to main() with a newline, even though I am using getchar() to get rid of it?

Is there perhaps some other, better way to do it? Perhaps one with which clang doesn’t give me “unused result” warnings?
