Worth noting that while some governments are busy bending the knee to corporate power, Mexico has just signed into law a revision to the Mexican Constitution that not only bans the growing of #GMO corn but bans #NewGMO variants too, completely pre-empting any deregulatory moves in Mexico 🌽🌽🌽

More GMO-free municipalities in Italy: Acqui Terme becomes the first in Piedmont🇮🇹 to declare itself #NEWGMO FREE. »Die Firma Corteva (ehem. DowDuPont/Pioneer) hat zwei neue Importzulassungen für transgenen Mais erhalten. Die Pflanzen produzieren Insektengifte und sind resistent gegen ein Herbizid. Bei einer der Maispflanzen (DP915635) wurde die Gen-Schere CRISPR/Cas eingesetzt, um zusätzliche Gene ins Erbgut einzuschleusen. Es handelt sich damit um die erste EU-Zulassung für Pflanzen aus Neuer Gentechnik.«
