NWS Wakefield reports:
- A cold front on Monday may bring showers. If showers are limited, fire weather could increase.
- Temperatures cool down for Tuesday, then warm back to slightly above average mid to late week. The pattern may become unsettled by the end of the week and into the weekend.
Seasonable fair weather expected Saturday and Sunday for garden clean-up.
From NC’s Weather Authority on FB: A new day is ahead across the state, and we will turn even warmer. Happy Saturday, North Carolina! I expect partly to mostly sunny skies across the state, we will turn quite nice day very late April/early May like for most areas. Highs will be in the 70s and low 80s, cooler along the beaches and in the mountains.
We will watch for a weak disturbance to push through parts of the Western Half of the state. Some scattered showers and storms are possible mainly after 6PM this evening, with a limited severe storm possible with gusty winds, and some hail can't be ruled out. I'll have more thoughts later this morning; most of the state will stay quiet, esp. east.
