Later on this evening, a line of storms will start to move into far northwest Georgia and may pose a threat for damaging wind gusts. The severe risk lowers as it moves across the rest of the area overnight.

Numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected Saturday and Sunday as a cold front moves southward through our area. The most likely time for these showers and storms will be Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning. Rainfall amounts will range from 1-1.5 inches to the north of I-85, with lesser amounts to the south. A few strong storms may be possible, but widespread severe weather is not expected at this time.
