Now as I do research on understanding and not understanding speech, I'll never ever feel bad about not understanding something. I'm just fascinated by it!
When someone is speaking, they don't always give adequate cues on what they mean. Or I just don't get the cues. I'm interested in the linguistic cues that someone doesn't get.
What is Yoga?
- Yoga is the union of the individual self with the universal Self.
- Yoga is Self-realization.
- Yoga is a complete practice and science where each person can experiment and find the Truth for themselves.
- The identity of yoga can be found in the Yoga #Sutras of #Patanjali and their Eight Limbs or Eightfold Path.
- The third limb is "asana" or postures. Although asana classes are what most people think of as yoga today, postures alone are not yoga.

My #PhD is focused around the auditory sensory system. I make #invivo #electrophysiology recordings of the Medial Superior Olive, the brain region responsible for localizing sounds using time delays.
Hey, @physi.cc pholks and other #science -y Mastodonners (Mastodons? Trumpeters? we need a collective noun)! I want to see some science on here. Post about your research with the tag #myResearch!
For example, I'm working on a way to measure enhanced radiation dose from cancer therapy caused by metal implants. X-rays can scatter from metal surfaces, and deliver extra radiation in the region. It's hard to measure though, because current measurement techniques don't like opaque/metal objects.
