Going to post vacation pics little bit later today. It’s 9:45 AM in Japan.
But quick brief bit: While other countries has condemned X and Musk, in Japan, it’s quite the opposite. They trust X as the source of info, and in fact, major advertisers in Japan still advertise on X including subsidiaries.
Unfortunately for dictator Musk, ad revenue from Japan won’t even cover a fraction of lost ad revenue X lost since he took over and went mental.
My point is simple in the end: do you want to stay in the same old site knowing that it is run by dictctator that doesn’t give a shit about morals and the site is dying and probably won’t exist by next year and is now filled with toxic trolls, or do you want to move on and do something exciting?
You choose.
That’s my advice to student athletes and athletes in general.

ESPN did a bold move today and not posted anything from insane college football Saturday yesterday on X. And instead focused on other social like Threads, Instagram or other.
And so far, gotten just about same amount of engagement there also.
You don’t need a Twitter/X account to maintain your brand as athlete/student athlete. You can do it elsewhere.
Ask yourself: do you want your brand to be associated with antisemite?
With that being said, here’s a sports aspect of this:
Athletes, and especially student athletes in college (particularly those with NIL), here’s an advice.
Deactivate X or Twitter account now. Keeping that account is going to ruin your reputation in long run. Do what other advertisers did, (like Apple or Disney or IBM) and leave the site.
There’s other social like Instagram, or Threads or YouTube where you can show your social presence.
Tesla shareholders are very angry as well at Musk and is asking him to step down or sell his share. Musk will respond in kind by taking company private and shutting out shareholders.
He’s a dictator. He doesn’t care what other think about him. It’s all about him and him only and his agenda.
Honestly I hate to say this but I don’t see that site surviving all of 2024.
That site is dead man walking…..
