Last time we visited, we headed up the haul road. But we ended up turning around at the arctic circle because of millions of tiny flies that got into everything as soon as we opened a door or window even momentarily. We hadn't seen these elsewhere in AK.
Are you aware of these? And if so, is there any time when the #HaulRoad is drivable, not icy, and without millions of these pesky flies around?
BTW -- absolutely LOVED the #MuseumOfTheNorth in #Fairbanks -- IMO it's one of the best museums in the world.
