While I was grabbing my lunch, Mr. Cardinal decided it was time for his… and was happy to see a sunflower-seed bell waiting for him.

I love the Russian word for a bird, птица [putizha] which sounds so adorable. 🥰❣️🐥✨

It’s foggy out there today, but Mr. Cardinal’s brilliance cuts right thru through haze!

It’s a rough day to be a cardinal - soggy and cold in the rain - but it’s a little bit better when you have a birdfeeder at your beck and call.

The only way to make a cardinal more striking is to catch him at golden hour!

Mr. Cardinal’s vibrant hues break thru the early-morning greys of suburban Connecticut!

He was a bit closer to the kitchen door, but moved back when I took out the phone to take a pic. But at least he didn’t flee like he used to!
