Verrückte Natur

Jemand klaut die an der Sonne trocknenden Walnüsse, die ich von meinen Spaziergängen mitbringe, von meinem Balkon im 1. Stock.

Nach mehreren Monaten ist der Dieb endlich in meine selbstgebaute Fotofalle (Raspberrypi3, Motioneyeos, billige USB-Webcam) auf meinem Balkon getappt.

Erstaunlich, wie weit Wildtiere für Futter gehen!

@alwirtes people are going to recommend #MotionEye and or #MotionEyeOS but I spent a fruitless month trying to use it to run a #Rpi dash cam and got NOWHERE.

Before someone jumps in to ask "have you tried #MotionEye?

Yes. it's too old and too unsupported for current #raspberrypi bookworm OS, and the kernel dependencies mean it won't see my camera.

#MotionEyeOS (which is diff from MotionEye!) is a black box at the command line as far as I can tell, and though I got it running, it doesn't see any camera I have.

#Motioneyeos #raspberrypi I suddenly can`t boot my rpi3 running motioneyeos. Worked flawlessly for months. Then borked after a reboot of router. Gives me an error on #bcrmfmac error on boot. Issues with wifi. #mastohelp #linux

@pavido Das wäre eine schöne Lösung, allerdings mit einer kleineren Kamera. Nur leider ist #MotionEyeOs anscheinend #Abendonware. Gibts da mittlerweile eine Alternative oder einen Fork?

@jhx I got a #FreeBSD home NAS, a #Fedora ThinkPad, a #Fedora Surface Go 2 Tablet, #EndeavourOS (Arch based) on my older ThinkPad, two #OpenBSD Web+Gemini+DNS+MTA VMs in the interweb and a #RockyLinux VM for Docker images in the interweb for my Anki-sync-server (for syncing Ankidroid), Wallabag (for reading articles later) and NextCloud Docker containers.
