Yvonne Arnaud (1890-1958) was born on 20 December 1890 in Bordeaux, France. She made her first films in 1920 (Desire and The Temptress) but then no more until the sound era. She was first a stage actress and a gifted pianist.
Her last movie was Tati's #MonOncle (1958). She portrayed the housemaid of the Arpels. She died half a year after Mon Oncle was released.
French-born, her career was in Great-Britain, where the #YvonneArnaud Theatre in Guilford is named in her honor.
