30 seconds is all I need to convince you to (finally) see Jour de Fête.

Jour de Fête was shot in 1947 and released in 1949. Due to problems with the Thomson color process (also the name of the French company), the black-and-white version was released. The problem with Thomson was the impossibility of making color copies from the original. The film ultimately had to be edited with the precautionary black-and-white footage.
