New power switch in place and also, the Chroma signal is back again (yet another bodge-wire, this is becoming a desease) - finally we're back in the game ...

Now the #Modular64, due to its modular nature, is a bit sensitive. And I need to re-solder a few spots before I will use it again.

In the meantime, here's my original #Commdore64 #mainboard from 1987 in a nifty new black case and the #1541Ultimate attached. And it has got a blue power LED!

I always thought the #C16 looked dead cool, all black case and light gray keyboard. So 39 years later (thanks to Individual Computers) I can finally have it my way.

Built a makeshift Meatloaf64 today using an old ESP32 WROOM dev module.

It works, but with certain flaws: due to memory restrictions (only 4MB flash), it sometimes runs out of heap memory. Usually when connecting to remote sites. Guess I need an ESP32-S3 module which features more flash memory (8 or 16 MB) and additional PSRAM.

Photo shows my #Modular64 at the top and the Meatloaf64 (with an additional sdcard reader connected to it). The Modular64 features a nice extra IEC connector on its I/O module, where the two CIAs rest. It is JST style, not the usual DIN type so the Meatloaf64 was easily and quickly connected for testing.
