Just to piggyback and expand upon my last post of Madvillain.
I mentioned that about 3 years ago, I took my then 13 year old son (and three of his friends) to #seattle to see one of their favorite bands, Half Alive.
As a fun side-field trip, I took them to the #mopop Museum as well.
There was a lot of cool things there, including a Nirvana exhibit that was very emotional for me, a super-rad horror and sci-fi exhibit, and what ended up being my son’s FAVORITE; the #HipHop exhibit.
He got an expansive education that day, including an introduction to #mfdoom and #madvillain .
Below are pictures of what my son saw: Doom’s iconic mask in a display case, as well as b-roll and alternate shots from that same session from where that now iconic photograph was taken.
I’d never seen my son’s eyes light up like that before, or heard him ask so many questions about a particular music figure like that before.
He also saw Biggie’s hat and suit, as well as some Beasties stuff.
