One year ago today I posted this miniature Aliens photo I created using real lighting, figures, miniature sets, smoke and cotton wool for the sky. The lights I added in digitally the rest is all in camera.

Officially, this was the last DS game I ever bought brand new. Mostly because it came up in 2011, about 6 months after the release of the 3DS
A Metroid-Vania lite that features a perma-death system. I say lite, as the game is quite linear, and exploration isn't rewarded too much, due to this, the length does stick out a tiny bit. But, even if the game feels a tiny bit short it is still a fun journey. Perhaps, it would be better to say it doesn't overstay its welcome.
Certain aspects of the game could be better, perhaps the main setting could have been planetside, and not on the Sulaco, they could have experimented more with enemy varieties, and the bosses can be frustratingly tanky.
In a pre-Isolation world, easily one of the most competent Aliens console games out there. I would say it is worth a play if you are curious or an Aliens fan. A word of warning there some touch screen usage with a turret section, and many usage
