Tomorrow, I’ll visit an elderly lady I’ve grown fond of. For over a year, I’ve taken her on walks, to the store, and even for manicures. Last week, she called, and I realized how much these visits mean to her.

Why do I do this? Because there’s a beautiful truth: If you want to stop feeling alone, offer companionship to someone who’s alone.
