I'm sharing a though about my #microirrigation system with you @tpheine if you are interested:
Lately i can see water times are not enough anymore. Until few weeks ago 3x 10 minutes everyday seemed to be ok, but now with 30+Β°C everyday and no rain since may, combined with 100+ dripping points well...isn't ok.
I have to do 1h manual activation every few days. Maybe is because low water pressure? I don't know. I may buy another timer next year and split the system in 2...other ideas?

Busy #bee on berries flowers.

Today i fixed the #microirrigation issues on them, connected some aromatic plants, the peach and the grapes to the system.
Plus i planted artichoke and corn seeds 😁

Today i tried a new kind of #microirrigation , a sprinkle, because i need to water an area under the berries.

Had some issues: at first i put them on a single line (1/4) with a single fork from the main line (1/2) but there was too much pressure drop and just the first 2 worked.
Then i tried to connect each of them to the main: they seemed to work but i had to remove pressure limiter.
But then i saw the other barrels weren't working in the correct way: i tried to close these sprinks and they were again working.
So i may soon replace them with standard barrels.... /cc @tpheine

#garden update:
Today i installed #microirrigation system in the #veg garden

Every area has its switch to cut off eventually if i don't need to water it for some reason

After i placed a microfiber cover to protect the veggies this weeknight since it's forecasted under 0Β°C temperatures

#garden update
Today's #gardening tasks were to move #plants (lettuce, tomatoes, onion, zucchini) from the #greenhouse to the #veg garden.
Tomorrow i have to install #microirrigation for watering them. And i hope the temp will not fall down as forecasted

So now i have new free slots in the greenhouse where i put new seeds: melon, pumpink, peas and beans.

Sunflower and basil seedlings have spawned!

And in the garden we installed a #bee and a #butterfly houses 😁

#garden update:
Today with my little girl we planted basil, strawberry and sunflower, placed in (now open) greenhouse and watered with #microirrigation .
Zucchinis are now ready to go in field (next week), salad is infesting and small tomato seedlings are born

This afternoon i finally placed the main tube (1/2") for the microirrigation. It was hard because it was rolled up and i need to straight it. For now is floating temporary, next week i'll fix it on ground. And of course place all the 1/4" tubes for watering all the plants, flowers and vegs (i just did the one for the greenhouse). /cc @Stehpferd

PS @tpheine i had to change a bit our pipe plan because the miss ordered so (she didn't like the pipe was too visible from the street) πŸ˜‚

#garden update:
Placed a net to keep chickens out of the #vegetable garden. I may also place an anti hail net above, let's see.
I also made the field rows so next week i'll place tomatoes, lettuce and zucchini in them 😁
Placed also basil at its place (the last year basil died πŸ˜• )
Tomorrow i may place the 1/2” pipes of #microirrigation if i have time

#garden / #greenhouse update:
Lettuce is booming, first seedling of zucchini on the right and if you zoom you can see the first tomatoes seedling on the right.
I wanted to transfer everything on the field but it's anormally cold here these days πŸ˜•
Tonight we still had 0Β°C...i have to wait a bit.
Meanwhile i calculated how many meters of tube i need for the #microirrigation system...well 40m of 1/2" and 60m of 1/4"...πŸ˜…
