Yet, fees per block are still below 2017's record in $, and no where close of a record in ₿.

Any transactions using a fee rate below 13.1 sats/vByte are now being purged from the 300MB sized mempool. If your time preference is high, use RBF to bump your fee, otherwise just patiently wait for the fee market to calm down and re-broadcast your low-fee transaction later.

[2]: The visualization of a default-sized mempool (last 30d) shows how often it overflowed. On Thursday it had even started dropping txs in the 4-5 sat/vB band.
