Just noticed that #Doval got the save in today's 6-3 win over the #Reds on 11 pitches (8 strikes) w/1 K & a liner & grounder for outs.

Thought #Walker was the Giants' designated closer after Doval lost that job last year but it looks like #Melivn is giving #Doval another chance to prove if he's entitled to that role again or not.

If Doval succeeds that will put Walker back in the role of middle/late inning reliever but I really liked Walker better as the closer. 🤷‍♂️
