A well known cosplay photographer in the Columbus Ohio area name Tsukiyama-sama Studios Photography has post on their facebook that they have been denied a Matsuricon photographer badge due to "reports of discriminatory conduct" that do not align "with the desire for inclusivity"
The initial email they received did not provided them with any proof of said "discriminatory conduct both professionally and publicly" They have sent a email back for proof.
The owner of Tsukiyama-sama Studios Photography is Margaret "Meg" Tyler. Who runs attends anime conventions to sell art, run fan panels, and engage in photography during anime conventions.
The rules of getting a photographers badge in Matsuricon does not mention getting the possibility of rejected due to "public or professional discriminatory conduct".
So why were they rejected from getting a photographer's badge?
They were Matsuricon staff from 2014 to 2017 as a public photoshoots scheduler which started way back in 2008. The real question is why was she was rejected suddenly?
This is definitely a case of libel and/or slander since the head of media did not provided specific reasons why.
