Hello fellow fedis!
Back from holidays i checked the supply voltages on the M1000.
Outputs (V)
U5 +12,11
U6 -12,16
U7 -5,02
U8 +5,03
U9 +5,03
Inputs (V)
U5 +19,45
U6 -19,55
U7 -12,16
U8 +11,54
U9 +11,55
outputs seem ok to me.
But I am not sure whether the inputs are relevant.
Battery perfectly at 3.0V but the problem persists: No sensible sound!
Not even on the 200+ ROM patches! Only some humming, some bursts...
Help & boost! 🙏🎹
I did change the battery in the end, had to undo the entire PCB and five power transistors from their heat sink, desoldered the original battery and fitted a CR2032 socket and it’s back together now

A Quick Matrix-1000 service tonight. This one got a new battery, Tauntek’s excellent 1.20 firmware update (with permission!) and some repairs to the display. Finally - reloaded the factory patches and calibrated the DAC DC offset. Done!
