Last Voyage (Mathemorphosis)
‘Bethink you of the seed
whence your lives have sprung; for not
beasts ye were created, but
manliness and knowledge to pursue.’
'Turning prow toward the morn
oars changed into wings
for that foolish, dre-a-ry flight,
onward to - the south.
Night already saw the pole,
all its southern stars,
and our northern pole was so low
did not rise from th' ocean bed
quenched and relit for five times
the light beneath the moon had been
since we entered deep pathways,
when a mountain appeared to us
Dim with distance,
it seemed to me the
highest
I had
ever seen
To the morning
having turned
our stern, with our oars --
we made wings -- for our flight
We rejoiced, but soon our joy was
turned in- to grief,
when a tempest
rose 'n struck
the prow of
our ship.
Three times did it whirl her
round, with all the ocean:
at the fourth, it made the stern rise,
and the prow sink, as it
pleased another, till the
sea closed
over us.
Three times did it whirl her
round, with all the ocean:
at the fourth, the stern did rise,
and the sea,
it closed over us.’
Still
the lies of god by far
surpass the lies of man
for it wants he accepts the bounds
it created for him
Not the first, nor the last
voyage is this for man
who craves
to be more
than a sheep in a pen
who craves
to be more
than a caged sheep

Longing (Mathemorphosis)
Like a statue made of clay
I was longing for a life
Waiting for a spark in me
Waiting for a spark to be
Then the miracle showed up
And I truly came to be
I could burn my little flame
Make it larger – make it grow
All
I had
to do
was see
All
I had
to be
was me
I wake up – what shall I do?
What I did the other day?
Or perhaps the day before?
Said a statue made of clay
Shining stars above my head
Burning bright for me to see
Though they made no sense to me
So I stopped to raise my head
and search for the light
for the light above
and the light that shines within my inner soul
In the dark
Closed inside a box
I kept myself
alone
What led me to this nothing-ness I
long for a way to get outside
I want to shine again like stars by their own light
Want to find again
what I now long for
[Why] Why I’m standing here now
[I] Where I’m truly going to
[Am] What I should accomplish
[Here] and why t’ is important
[Why] What does truly matter
[I] What I should abandon
[Am] What I need to look for
[Here] That keeps burnin ‘nside of me
All too easy seemed to be
All was needed was for me
to walk through those fixed steps
Well arranged for me to see
Fixed steps preset my path
Footfalls leading to nowhere
Telling me what play to act
Telling me what mask to wear
on the stage of life
acting as if were
a true story rather than a plot done to the very death
Leading me
To a fairy land
that does exist nowhere
What led me to this emptyness I
need a new way to get outside
I want to burn again and shine by my own light
Want to find again
what I now long for
[Why] Why I’m standing here now
[I] Where I’m truly going to
[Am] What I will accomplish
[Here] and why it’s important
[Why] Why I’m writing these words
[I] Where they lead my soul to
[Am] What I will find once there
[Here] Why it is so important
[Why] What does truly matter
[I] What I should learn anew
[Am] What I need to look for
[Here] To keep my flame burning
[Why] Where shall I find my self
[I] And if I will tell me
[Am] That the path was worth it
[Here] More than all the steps on it
All I had to do was to look and see
All I did have to be was me – Just
nothing else but me.

One of the most beautiful songs I've ever sung is "Crimson Blade", by #Mathemorphosis
In my opinion, one of @guresuke -san masterpieces
I look forward to the moment Guresuke-san shall release in its second version.
This is "Last Journey", written by @guresuke -san with lyrics adapted by me from Dante's "Inferno"'s English translations.
It's a song by #MATHEMORPHOSIS!
