Hi there! Sending a friendly reminder to schedule your cancer screenings. In the past couple weeks I have 3 people I know personally newly diagnosed with breast cancer, one who is only 43 with zero family history.

Older women get short shrift too...they try to screen you every other year. I went at 19 months to get a DEXA and thought wtf get the mash and flash too.
Fortunately my tumor was small.
I had whole breast radiation. If you want to talk please feel free to ask. Stretching is important. It's been a year and I still have to do it or things start hurting. All best to you! Joan

@DrLindseyFitzharris My surgery was 4 hours instead of the anticipated 6. A mammogram is what alerted me that I had a rare-in-the-USA genetic form of aggressive pre-Cancer that affects 50% of women in Ghana. It took me 4 doctors to get it addressed, 1 male cancer doctor told me to wait until it was cancer.
