Wonderful news..#manitobahealth has lowered the age of #breastcancerscreening #mammograms to 45. It was 50 previously.

I'm 47, turning 48 in 2026, and have already emailed for an appointment.

#breastcancer doesn't run in my family, but it doesn't have to. They are finding it in younger women with no previous history all the time.

I encourage you to get checked!

Today:

- I had my regular check up mammogram. I’m so grateful for this technology. Three years ago a routine screening mammogram picked up an aggressive breast cancer in its early stages, and that is why I am alive and well today

- I picked up a hold from the library. It’s a new history book I’ve been looking forward to (Garrison World by Charlotte Macdonald). Libraries are another thing I’m so grateful for!

- I watched a couple of episodes of Blood of my Blood, the Outlander prequel, which I’m enjoying
