Currently (pun intended) I'm using my benchtop variable CV/CC supply to drive the foamcutter... I could do with another benchtop supply to use with it... can be noisey and doens't need to be very smart, needs to be constant current and able to supply up to 3 amps at probably 15V max.. anyone up to date on cheapo power supplies that would do? #Makershelp
Iโ€™ve decided to get an ultrasonic cleaner, Iโ€™ve read 20khz is good for big dirt and 40khz for little dirt, so I guess Iโ€™m looking for one that does different frequenciesโ€ฆ anything else I should consider? Any recommendations before I just hit Aliexpress? #MakersHelp
So, my foam cutter machine needs a name... for my other machine, the carbon fibre filament winding machine, I called it Fila-Winda... but I'm drawing a blank on this 4 axis Hot Wire Foam Cutter... #makershelp :)
So the challenge I am having with these chrome books for the (non school) STEM Club I run for young people is now partially solved as I can run useful stuff in Crostini on them. However, this requires that each chromebook has a proper email log in to a google acc as an adult... I dunno how to solve that part. I need 10 free emails or so for log ins, but I still need to protect the young people (9-11 yrs) online etc.
#makershelp anyone?

Edit:
Thank you all for the replies.
It seems that this is a very big ask and not at all simple, nor easy.
I will have a think over it all and see what it is I would want to achieve, and see if there is a priority I should look at that is doable for me.
Or just accept that I am tied to the system.

How difficult is it for a non techy person to change their phone's operating system from Android to one of the non Android OS options?

What is the general process without risk of losing all the contacts, messages, and apps that are already on the phone in use?

I currently have a Samsung A13.

Thank you.

#MakersHelp for @laguiri, please.

Thank you.

I have a question about our 'moving house' plans, and I would welcome some thoughts about it.

We have a lot of stuff to get rid of, but also a lot of stuff, (furniture, workshop machines, steel and timber stock, heavy equipment, etc.) that will need to move with us.

My thoughts were to somehow find a local place that has shipping container storage, move it all there while clearing the house, and then move the shipping container when we know where we have moved to.

I don't know if there is such an option locally, at both ends.

I'd appreciate any ideas as to how to do this, or if you have companies that you are aware of that would work like this.

We are in the Greater Manchester are of the UK and moving to rural Wales.

Thank you.

Sorry, I don't know about online shops, I don't have one myself, and rarely buy stuff like that now.

I wonder if the #MakersHour folks would know? Also, maybe a #MakersHelp question.

Edit:
Found! Tube button spring clips.
Thank you @yvan

Those sprung buttons that you have as an insert inside a tube, so that you can use as an adjustable stop as it telescopes inside another tube....

What are they called, please, so that I can find some to buy.

Thank you.

I'm currently testing the waters doing some Intro to Making courses in my area.

Does anyone have a favorite single-sided SMD learn-to-solder kit? I have some wonderful double-sided ones, but would prefer to teach the hot plate method for beginners.
