Some parts were hurt during this test.
The clamp on the right has a cut through it that the one on the left does not.
The bit also decided to ram itself into a flat metal l-bracket. Somehow, I still haven't broken a bit.
The ultra-short takeaway is that #Makera 's CAM software is - IMNSHO - π© and not ready for production.
In addition to crashing A LOT it made some really stupid tool paths that _looked_ fine, but definitely were not.
Update: #Makera support got back to me within 3 hours tonight.
They said all the units had passed QC but that maybe something had come loose during shipping. They provided simple instructions and they were right. A wiring harness had come loose.
OMG this thing is amazing. It is SOOOOO quiet.
Squeeeee!
Today, I got closer than I've ever got to actually using my CNC machine.
I'm not *quite* there yet, but this makes more sense.
My first time using Makera CAM and my first time preparing something for 4th axis.
Wish... Me... Luck?
(Not doing it today, but still)
