I fear that, out of convenience and privilege, people are more likely to continue to adopt and employ the evil or unethical actions and practices of billionaires than to persecute them or get rid of their class entirely.

A privacy nightmare is a democratic nightmare.
There is no separation of the two.
Without privacy, there is no democracy.

Democracy is not failing only because of corruption.
Democracy is also failing because people are too comfortable giving up their privacy (among other rights) in exchange for convenience.

Democracy is not convenient.
Authoritarianism is convenient.

It's not just about you.

There is a thin line between apathy and evil when one's apathy encourages or perpetuates the continued suffering or oppression of others.

#GetUncomfortable #ConvenienceVsControl #MakeItPersonal #VoteEveryDay

Voting every day is significantly more effective than voting at an election.

The reason for this is that the candidates who would dare to run for office would understand how dangerous the citizens of their country can be, and as such wouldn't dream of underperforming or acting corruptly.

Capitalism cannot be changed, but those who truly control it, the 99%, need to understand that their power is not limited to every 4 years.

#VoteEveryDay #GetUncomfortable #MakeItPersonal #DoYourPart

When companies do unethical/evil actions, and we say “It's just business”, that's another way of saying, “If it were me, I'd do the same thing”.

When we accept unethical behaviour as normal, we infect ourselves with the same mentality. It then becomes hypocritical to complain about unethical behaviour.

Normal does not mean good.

So my question is:
Are you a hypocrite?

#MakeItPersonal #GetUncomfortable #ethics

Vote unethical mentalities out rather than politicians/parties.

The only way to do this is to VOTE EVERY DAY.

Voting every day means demanding change by boycotting what we don't want and celebrating what we do want EVERY DAY.

We need to this every day for several years to make it the norm, so that we do it subconsciously the same way we get up every day and subconsciously do nothing about it.

#GetUncomfortable #ConvenienceVsControl #MakeItPersonal #ItsNotJustAboutYou #boycotting

What I dislike most about #cancelculture is the fact that the people doing it know the power of boycotting, but they mostly use it to #boycott what people say or believe in.

Governments and #BigTech are destroying privacy, a critical pillar of democracy, with the goal of doing the same thing that cancel culture is about.

That is, controlling what people are allowed to say (dissent/freedom of speech) and controlling what people believe in (culture/family).

If life has taught me one thing, it's that most individuals, businesses, and governments won't #dotherightthing unless they are forced to by someone else or some event or #trend.

And by “right”, I don't mean #legal.
By “right”, I mean #ethical.
