Imagine telling someone about the dangers of big tech and data brokers for 2 years, while simultaneously mentioning Pegasus and 1984, then being called "paranoid" or being dismissed with "It's not that serious."

Now imagine that person coming up to you years later and asking, "Have you heard about Pegasus?" seeking to tell you some new information they are just hearing for the first time, apparently.

Instant rage bait, though unintentional.

People only listen to distant strangers.

This apples to many, MANY things.

People that love to say, “I only care about my family” need to remember that it takes a village to raise a child.

What happens outside of your household will affect your child.

Similarly, what happens in countries with lots of influence will affect yours.

Such statements are statements of privilege, and people with too much privilege quite often don't care about anyone but themselves.
