XandorHad a nice weekly Magic night tonight. We ran a Mystery Booster 2 draft, and I got to play a pretty fun Yorion deck! Only went 1-2 after a promising start due to a rough 2nd match and a rougher pair-up, but such is life.

Doctor LURKUnpopular opinion: I'm not bothered by a weird/fantasy west setting in #MagicTheGatgering. I get that fantasy westerns can ignore or elide the nasty truths of the American West in the late 19th century, but no moreso than a fantasy Japanese setting ignores the violent and repressive tendencies of premodern Japan, et cetera. Not trying to change anyone's mind, but personally I don't need every pastiche to ruthlessly interrogate its origins. If you do, that's valid, but I'm picking other battles.
